Why Do We Celebrate Our Birthdays?

Birthdays are a very special occasion in our lives. They are the days we all love to spend in a  unique way. Sometimes, we throw party ourselves for celebrating our birthdays and sometimes it is our friends or relatives who throw parties for us to celebrate this occasion. However, you can also see many people who don't get themselves involved in parties on this day. They go to churches, get themselves involved in charity or do something in which God would be happy with them-that is their way of celebrating. So, what we see is all people celebrate birthdays in some way or the other. But the question here is why do we celebrate birthdays. 

To love and to be loved

This day is dedicated to the people whom we love. We make sure to spend time with them on this special day. This is also the day when we get birthday wishes from all of our near and near ones and it is on birthdays that they shower their blessings and love upon us. We all love to be loved and love and there is no better day than birthdays for doing this. 

To give ourselves a big pat on the back 

Every year we grow a little bigger. And so this day is the day to celebrate what good we have done all through the last one year. It is the day that commemorates that we have lived and that we have really done a lot so we deserve a big pat on the back. In fact, most of us mainly uses this occasion to celebrate the life that God gave us and we also praise Him for it.

The best day to be pampered is our birthdays. It is the day your near and dear ones would like to treat you or if it is not that day, we spoil ourselves. I have seen many people treating themselves to a wonderful chocolate croissant at morning on their birthdays and they didn't feel the guilt for even for a second. 

Gifts 

It is not only the kids and young children who are fond of gifts older people also wait for this day to come because they know every guest who would comes in for the party would have a gift on their hand and the moment the party gets over they would jump on the items to open the packages. This is a different kinds of people that is cherished by every single human being. 

Silliness 

You are like a free bird on this day. You can sing, you can dance, you can giggle a lot, you can blow bubbles and act like a kid if you want and there would be no one telling you anything. Moreover, every one would enjoy your acts on this day.

A birthday cake is still the very best thing about celebrating birthdays every year. But for this you either need to gather some unique cake ideas for a birthday and discuss with your cake designer the one that you want to have on your birthday or learn how to make a unique birthday cake yourself.
